Has anyone bought an oversize Afco from Summit Racing and happen to have the part # available? I will call Summit and try to find out more info just wanted to search here first. Does anyone know where to buy them if Summit is out of the question?
Thanks

Here's a pic of it installed in my bike... I got the black anodized fittings from a local auto shop. I did have to get a higher pressure cap, because I had problems with it boiling over, but the cap fixed that.

Nice, I think it's hard to beat a dual pass crossflow for that price, thanks!

Langbolt, did yours come with fittings?

No, Mine had the pipe fitting welded in like yours and then I used AN-12 fitiings to plumb it up....I used the black braided line instead of the stainless like yours.

I see they now offer this rad with 1/2 nipples

so now it would be cheaper to hook-up to our bikes

:D

Sorry I don't have more pics right now! where or what kind of cap did you put on? Part number? I have an Afco as well but I'm in the middle of a rebuild so it hasn't had coolant in it yet but if this is goin to be an issue I'd just assume solve it before the first ride.

I wouldn't worry about it, my dome is cut pretty aggressively, and I think I am right on the edge... you should be fine.

Anyway, the part I got was a 1.6kPa unit made by Outlaw.

That's where I got mine a few years ago.
Don't remember the price, but it seemed fine.

I think there under $350 shipped with fittings but not 100% on that anymore, its been a while.
