Finally finished my Walsh YZ Hybrid!

I bought this hybrid almost a year ago and tore it down to the motor and frame.. Then started to refresh/rebuild it which was a costly and time consuming build to the condition it was in when i bought it.

But it was all worth it!! and although i do still have a few things that i would like to do, it is basically 95% done

i use photobucket to upload and then just use the IMG tags usually sizes them all good like.

heres my hybrid that you asked about.

still having had time to get new plastics coming or tear top end down and put a 450 cylinder back on it. has a athena big bore in it now. and thats going.

its the old 4 speed yz450 motor. but i do feel way more comfy on it then my 450r or yfz.

excuse the dirty shop please.

heres the shocks on it too. axis titanium x link.

i like em. very plush but ill prolly get PEPs and replace these.

Thats a sick bike! I love those shocks wish I had the money too upgrade my axis's very clean bike:D go check out my 400ex build in the 400 thread! would love to build a hybrid one day!

Super clean with all the good stuff on it. I had a yfz, 450r and a ktm 450 & still think that i would not have it any other way than a Walsh hybrid:)

but yeah its still just same when Gil Attix raced it. jrspawn sold it to a guy i bought it off of.

ill get around to it though. i have 7 freaking bikes and doing things to all of them at once its very time consuming lol.

I actually want to put that motor in mine, but im told you have to move the lower motor mounts a 1/4" or so from where the yz426 sits?? Im the furthest thing from a mechanic or fabricator!! hahaha

Yeah having 7 bikes will make it a little bit more difficult to do those kind of things i would imagine?! lol

Screw crfs. Lol actually they are good motors. Just not for me.

Actually from what i was told. You only have to elongate the lower motor mount hole. Jrspawn can tell ya. He did this one.

Man I miss that quad! That thing has been through a lot of different phases and different powerpla bra over the years I owned it. It's had from a 400cc
Yz motor all the way to 550+cc. It's current setup is the best overall for MX it has ever been. It was also updated over the years with all the latest walsh updates and goodies. I've built and owned a ton of quads, that one was my favorite. Treat that ol girl nice!

Nope. It's torn down to get a full rebuild. Should be sick when done. Just wanting for my money tree to grow a little faster lol.
