Has anyone put a lt500 2stroke motor in a ltr450 yet? Been thinking for a while about wanting to do one but not sure if it would be a easy swap, just though I'd check to see if anyone out there has done it or at least tried

lots of work....
Not sure if it was ever completed on quadracer forum. If it was, i would like to see one.

-Swingarm bolt larger than 500 engine. Modify engine or modify frame/swinger for smaller bolt.
-Rear shock linkage would have to be relocated for lt500 intake, and i mean completly relocated.

Would also love to see this done! I've always though what it would take to do a RM250 swap into a LTR450.

I imagine the Hybrid forums on here would be best for more information.

I never even thought of that, a late model RM250 would be even better! Hopefully someone with fabricating skills sees this thread and gets thinking.....

Exactly, Late model RM250 engine and call it the LT-RM250 w/ the old school blue colored frame and yellow plastics.

the lt500 motor fits much better in a z-400 frame. on a lt450 the rear shock mount makes it about impossible to get the carb-aif filter etc. set up.

just what I read on quadracerhq

do a google search for zelda and it should find a you tube of the z400 lt500 hybrid

I believe I saw a 250R motor in an LTR frame somewhere. From what I remember it was almost bolt-on compatible, except for finding an exhaust of course.
