07 or 09

In the market for a ltr. Been reading that 08 and up trans problems. Is the 07 really a better machine or is the newer ones really not that bad? Which would be the best choice. I will only be trail riding or the odd xc race. Looking at keeping the engine stock with a yosh rs-5 and cherry bomb.

About the only thing i have read about the 08 and up is transmission issues. Is it usually from people that beat the bikes or even trail riders?

Another 07 owner here. I heard the 06's were the best year out the bunch to have. I never had one problem with mine

alot of people are rough on their stuff, so it could just be that

im not stupid with my stuff, i dont tap the rev limiter constantly and beat the hell out of it like some people

How about a nice 06? Mine has been a solid quad. Had some issues, but that comes with any quad.
