The 88-89 Lonestar is the one you need. I did read on their site that they don't come drilled for the bolt anymore because the swingarm companies are all over where they drill their holes. They just indent recommended spot to drill. I need to buy one for my 87 Houser arm so I can mount it on my frame.

so how exactly does it mount? the main swingarm bolt goes through the big hole and then this hole you say youve gotta drill mounts to what? I dont have any tabs or holes on my swingarm, and Im not sure Id want to drill and tap it.

the swingarm should have a small nub where you can bolt the chain slider to keep it secure.

I just went through this with my LSR swinger. Order the LSR swing-arm guard for 2". You will have to drill out the hole. I put on the guard, smacked it with a mallet so the mount made an impression in the plastic, then drilled it out. Fit perfectly.

That's my old swing arm, sorry about the headache your going to have. Lots of silly custom stuff done to that old Laegers. Best advice I can give you is find a OE 88-89 swinger chain slider and stay, mark where the mount hole should be on the swinger then fab up a mount and take it to a good TIG welder. The chrome is going to get a little messed up in that area of course.

TM slider you want is HCP TR8

Rather than welding on it maybe you could drill a hole and install a nutsert in it. At least this way I don't think you will wreck your chrome. I use them at work and they work awesome for certain things like this. And sometimes you have to put a spacer behind your slider where your bolt goes thru if you want your chain to run directly in the center of your slider.

I know its a long shot but what about a Banshee slider ? The banshee ones have a peg coming out the side of em that rests on top of the swingarm.
