just got done with putting a cr85 in a 450r chassis, all done without removing or adding any of the mounts on the frame for the 450 motor so it can be put in later, going to start mounts for the 150r motor today. did this so i could buy a 450 race ready and run my son in the 90mod class then supermini then put the 450 motor back in when he's ready. I had problems buying new quads every year because he was growing so fast, right now he's 5'4" 155#'s and is 11 yrs old.
I know it's not going to be ideal weight wise but it will be good enough for what we do.

Good Job. Great concept. LOL

One suggestion, Make a bolt in piece that bridges across from one motor mount to the other. It'll snug it all up and also allow you to really tighten the engine bolts without squeezing the center gasket... You can overtighten the bolts and squish the gasket right out.
Also, Get some heat shield stuff for the tank...

thanks for the info i thought about bracing across but didn't think it would be nessesary, but you make a great point. under the tank has a plastic shield that the tank sits on, i will put some shield on it.

The 150r motor has been totally installed and ran, and the cr85 motor back in ready to race. also lower the sub frame 1".

Looks great and by the way it looks it looks like it should be pretty much balanced. Nice looking machine. If I knew how much of of pain in the a** these cvt's were I would of just kept it and built one myself. I hope you guys have a great season with it.
