The scary thing was that I didn't notice this until washing the quad after a long day of riding at the track. It is possible that little bolt holding it in place is all that kept the frame from collapsing on me...keeping it wedged in there at least.

I really didn't paint the whole picture. This really happened because I pounded the crap out of the frame and had is gussetted to the hilt to fix previous cracks. In the end, there was no where left for the frame to flex except for this area. I still think Honda frames are suspect especially as they rot out from the inside out over time. The frame is metal tube and is constantly flexing. It is bound to crack eventually.

Thats an even scarier thought that they could rust out from the inside.

Reminds me of my old ford ruck I literally sprayed a used motor oil intot he body and frame to make sure it didnt rust from the inside out.

No pics because it happens so often but foot peg bolts on LTR's. I honestly have lost count of how many I've broken now. I finally drilled through the frame and put in longer bolts. Haven't ridden much since I've done that but hopefully that does the trick.

Holy Hell that thing without a doubt is JUNK. Ive welded a lot of stuff back together and patched a lot of stuff to get me through a riding season but that would be scrap pile worthy even in my dads garage and that's saying something

Haha I guess if I owned that swingarm I could lay it beside the frame that I landed on top of the wheelhorse with. That frame has survived many scrap loads due to its story

I suppose I could find some old rotted piece of plywood on the side of the road to mount it on, but it was more of a letdown than anything else. Don't know why I even still have it- it's been over six years. It used to be a Lone Star +1 400EX swingarm. And I didn't land on anything. It let go in a flat, straight section of an xc race.

Yea this guy here came up a uphill triple we had once and hit a wheel horse lawn mower head on with a tiller on the back. The guy on the wheel horse has a habit of just doin what ever he wants and not telling no one. It never hurt the horse at all. But honda frame.........JUNK

Rod pulled loose from the piston and smashed it into the valves. It just locked up everything while in 4th gear and came sliding to a stop lol
