Bored over Question?

If a guy says his bike is bored over 40 (or.40), what exact displacement 400ex does he have? 416? 440? Just a small question. Thanks for the help.

thats a 406 kit thats what i have... it gives u a very nice power increase.... the .80 is 416....

Just kidding, in all actuality heres the drill. In standard measurement .040 inches converts to 1.016 mm. Given the stroke remains the same your true displacement with a .040" overbore and nothing else comes out to be 410cc's. An overbore of .080" brings you to 420cc's.

Sorry about that, calculator was set to round to the nearest 100th. It truly is a 406.7cc for .040" and 416.4cc for .080"

yea and a .120 over is a 425 or 6 i forget...it worked pretty good
