TRX 400EX. Crf250r Timing chain Mod?

Hi. I have an 2005 Honda TRX 400ex with the 440 ex bigbore kit and a stage two hotcam. And the timing chain is making a ticking noise like most the 440s do.. I heard that u can take an Honda Crf250r timing chain and use it on the 400 and it will fit tighter and not tick? I am just curius if any one out there has tryed it and knows if it aculley works? get a 02' crf450r timing chain its a direct replacement and twice as thick. crf450 not 250

Im not sure about the crf 250 chain,but you can use the crf 450 chain and it will work just fine.Make sure your tensioner is good,that is what usually goes bad.
