today at school my freind told me that he had alot of gas in his airbox! and i was thinking what could of caused this? i got to thinking i maybe he flooded it big time, but i dunno thats why im asking you guys?? i asked him if he had up on its grab bar for a long time and he said no. he told me that when he came out to start it up it would start so he checked everything and there was gas in his airbox!

BTW- it is a 250ex with K&N airfilter with procircuit pipe and a jet kit.

couuld it be like there was too much pressure going into the carb and it just overflowed and went back thruogh the tube into the airbox? like maybe a bad jet or something i dont know just a guess

HE needs a new needle and seat and float in the carb, replace it all so you don't have to do it again. Check the fuel shut off make sure it shuts off completely.

I think it sounds like a needle, seat, float problem as well. Check all the carb vent hoses and make sure they are not blocked. He should also check his crank case vent if it has one. Make sure that it is not blocked.

dont replace anything just yet. Take the carp apart and clean it up good. This same thing happened to my 400ex. And yes there was gas in the oil as well. Change the oil and filter. (they have filters right) And change it a few times to get rid of the gas. Once you clean everything then see if it does it again. If it does then he may want to replace the needle and float.

I had it happen to my 300ex before, I just cleaned my filter , drained the air box and it worked fine.
