My stock 400ex rear wheels and tires have always had a small leak from the bead. I am going to be studding them and using then as my winter set this year so I wanted to fix the leak.

Got the tires dismounted, cleaned up the tires and the rims real good, mounted them back on and now they leak just as bad, if not more than before.

What can I do to get rid of the bead leak? Im not a fan of slime so Id rather not use that. Anything else that anyone recommends I try?

I used to use a bead sealant from pep boys. It was kinda like runny rubber cement. You would put it around the bead of both the rim and the tire. I used to slop it on pretty thick to try and get a good seal.

Ended up just taking them to the local tire shop that also does atv tires. One of the beads had a small tear in it and thats why they didnt seal. They tried everything to get it to seal but nothing worked. So I am just going to tube them.
