i geuss if you want a taller stem....stronger then stock....anti vibe mount...then yes id say its worth it. if ya dont wanna spend the money and dont really care about upgrading the part then get a stocker

what does the anti-vib mount do ?

the rubber mounts used in the anti vibe help cut down felt vibrations to the rider....therefore in theory the rider will be less fatiged.

anyone else wanna take a stab at that:confused:

mine is a +1 taller and a +1 forward. it helps absorb some shock and resist arm pump. i am also running pro taper bars witch help with arm pump also and absorb vibration.

they come in a few difernat colors powder coated. Cost me 193 with shipping and tax. if you DO NOT live in pa then your price will be about 10 bucks less since you wil not have to pay tax.

I had a problem intially with the stem but the owner Izzy fixed the problem

If your over 5' 10,,, the extra +1 is a great addition in controlling the quad.. Yes the anit-vibes are worth it..

well i have bent my renthals on my yz, put eh pro tapers on amd there still straight

put them on my 400ex and i have bent 2 stems and the pro tapers are still straight. they flex but do not bend

the stem is +1 forward, not the clamps where it is welded is offset

if im not mistaken the +1 forward is achieved with the bar clamp. if you ride in the attack position alot or have long arse arms its worth it.

What about the Pro Taper bars - will they really help? Seems like I read this somewhere else, might have been a Pro Taper ad though.

i think any aftermarket bars help, as long as you get a bend that you are comfortable with , i have tag x5 cr hi bends and i really feel like i have more control over the bike because the sweep is less and the bars are lowwer

Consider what bars your going to run when you go to get a new stem...if your running strong, oversize bars like Tag, Pro Taper, etc...stick with the stock stem, but if your running weaker bars like MSR, Renthals, etc. then I guess you can go either way. The reason I bring this up is because the stronger, oversize bars cost alot of money, and if you go and buy an aftermarket stem one of them is going to bend/break in a crash, so its not worth it to run a stong set of bars with a strong stem...you want a weak point somewhere. Take me for example I run Tag T-2 Bars with a stock stem...I know if I crash the odds are on the stem bending (which happen already) and I can pick up a new OEM stem for like $60 or so at my local shop....now if I was running an aftermarket stem...the bill would of been alot higher. Get what I'm sayin?
