For anyone that is racing or looking to race the new class,I know where there are 2 Honda 125s.

Just kinda curious will a built Raptor 125 motor run with the Hondas? We have one(Rappy125) and I'm not about to sink money in it also just kinda curious.

At one point last year we had a Raptor 125 at my house that we were considering buying along with our Honda Scott Cain tuned 125.
This Raptor has a real hotrod engine built by TC (Tom Carlson) with a custom cam, exhaust and carb.
Logan and I drag raced the two machines in the yard (switching off machines). The Honda had a slight advantage BUT the Yamaha had a few gears to to go before we ran out of room.

NOW, my thought, If Logan would have liked the feel of the Raptor we'd raced it last year. At the time of the drag race the gearing was way off for mx AND after talking to TC on the phone, there was a higher compression piston now available that was not at the time he built this engine.
So, to answer your question, I believe a good built Raptor engine WILL keep up and maybe outrun the Honda....
Some of these ATV engine builders can build these engines now and the chassis parts are top notch now.
