Just picked up a 2002 300ex for my girlfriend for $400 bucks! I am looking into a new front end so it handles a little better. What would I all need to put 450r shocks on the 300ex? Is it the same as how to put 400ex shocks on ( shock relocator, shocks, 400ex aarms, tie rods, spindles)? I would rather put 450 shocks rather than 400's. thanks!

you need 400ex a-arms, 400 or 450 shocks, 400 tie rods, and shock relocater. Keep the 300 spindles unless you have aftermarket adjustable a-arms

miniquaddad90 knows what he is talking about. Don't use the 400ex spindles unless you have a lot of adjustment on the a-arms.

I would also recomend the 400ex shocks over the 450r unless your gonna have the 450r revalved for your girlfriends weight. I know it sounds odd but the 450r shocks will most likely be to stiff for her.

weve got 450r shocks on our 300ex and its a rough ride. when we take it in the woods it feels like theres no rebound just stiff.
