The stock head studs on my 440 stroker finally let go after 6 years. A head gasket went last summer, then again shortly thereafter at Winchestor bay in September.

Going to replace the piston when I removed the cylinder to have HD studs installed. Haven't decided which route I'm going to go yet. Either keep it 440cc's and go with a 87mm 12:1 piston (actually will 12.5:1 w/stroker), or go up to a 88mm piston and have a 13.5:1 450ex. Leaning toward 12.5:1 440.

If I did a stroker it would be with powroll....can run any piston and not a special stoker type.....6 yrs is pretty impressive if you didn't already have HD studs....that would be a must for me.
