ok so through some research i found that the 06 will need the oil cooler brackets. has anyone done this? is it easiest to just cut the ones off my mine and just weld them back on the 06?

I done the opposite a few years back. i done an 06 motor in an 05 frame. I used the 05 motor mounts but machinied my own aluminum spacers if i remember right. I bolted the motor in at the swingarm for sprocket alignment and started measuring for spacers from there

I was gonna post the same question wether the parts and engine from a 2005 would bolt up to an 06 or newer frame until I found this thread. So from reading this I guess the answer is yes. I just need to make some oil cooler brackets? Thanks
