Hey all, my quad is out in the yard buried in snow not in the mood to dig her out to measure...anyone positive on the stock FRONT offset? Ordering a set of OMF's as soon as i can find out. Either 4/1 or 3/2, that's the choices i have from them with 4/144 BP. Thanks guys.

stock offset is between 4:1 and 3:2 its a weird offest. 3:2 will add a inch to a stock quad. 4:1 will take away a inch.

WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED???

Well i guess i'll go 3/2. if 4/1 makes my fronts less than rear then it'll get a little sketchy high speed on a straight i believe is how it works.

3/2 then would go wider, will gimme some bump steer i think but probably not too much. Thanks guys

4:1 ad 3:2 are both commonly used on hondas. mxer's use 3:2 if they have +2 arms to get as close to 50'' as the can get with very little bumpsteer (prolley wont notice any) and they use 4:1 when they have +2.5 or longer arms to stay under 50''

What he said, it's in between the two. 4:1 will reduce the steering feedback to the handlebars from the wheels. 3:2 will increase that feedback a bit.

If you are stock width front and rear, then changing the front wheels to either 3:2 or 4:1 will be a compromise situation.

I use 4:1 Hiper front wheels with +3 A-arms. It was a bit wider when I ran the stock front wheels, but it handles a bit better with the 4:1 Hipers now.

Yea Nacs is stock dimentions, i love it for woods. I wont mind widening it a bit up front with the 3/2, in my opinion 400's dont have any bump steer to speak of anyway, always felt incredibly light to me. I have the 450 shocks on there plushed out and they soak it all up. Thanks for the info. ^^b

Just thought of this: I've never measured, but wouldn't my front end be a hair narrower than a stocker as it sits now? The 450 shocks are i think 3/4" longer which pushes the arms and then in turn should lessen my front track correct? The 3/2's might put me back about spot on, but the center of the tire still farther from my hubs.

Front wheels are actually like 4.5:1 if I recall or maybe its 3.5:1..

Front is narrower than rear always, infact with its about 43.5-44inches wide and the rear is about 46-47.
