Question about 08 tank conversion

Hi guys,

I have 2006 450r and I'm about to change the fuel tank to a 08 with a cover, and i want to know.

Does a 2006 heat shield will work with a 08+ fuel tank or do I have to buy a newer heat shield? I know I need all bracket and strap from a 08 but for the heat shield I'm not sure.

i'm sure that work with the '06 shield

You need everything 08 & up for it to work. I did it on my 06.

Cut the rubbers on your 2006 heatguards and you Will not need the buy the 2008 heatguard!

You need:
2008 cover
2008 tank
2008 Front Brackets (Right and Left)
2008 Rear Bracket
2008 Strap (2x)
2008 Full Petcock

The heat shields are the same other than the rubber spacers. For it to work right you will need two of these. 17519-HP1-A00
