I didnt know when u installed a hotcam that u have to adjust the valves to thier specs cause when my dad adjusted the valves the last time he adjusted to stock specs could this be why my 440 doesnt have the power it should have?

It could affect the performance little but a hotcam depending on the stage they have there own specs and also a hotcam will make the power curve different like stage 1 I know is for bottom end and stage 2 is for mid to top end

It doesnt matter, stock specs or hotcam specs.

I set mine to stock specs. They're a little quieter than HotCams specs.

Set it to stock specs. Your prob are floating the valves with the new cam if it is a older bike, put some KW springs in there, see it that helps. I know it was night and day diff on mine.

If the springs are wore out then they wont be lifting the valves properly.

I replaced mine with KW as well some time ago. Measuring the springs to spec they werent even close anymore, afterall the machine is 12 years old now.
