Want suggestions

Here's the deal. I have a 400ex roller and want to put a 2stoke engine in it. I wanted to do a cr500 but decided the whole vibration issue would be too much for me. I want a good desert/ dune quad. What should I do? ... I'm sure this has been posted before somewhere but want to get suggestions...

However I've considered an xr650 motor. I basically want something fast, more fun to ride than my race quad, and fun to fab/build. Thanks in advance

What about a 650l motor? Electric start. Air cooled. Pretty easy fab. Saw one in the classifieds on here not too long ago.

i did a 250r motor a few years ago. fun to build and is a great running machine. handles like a dream.

The 250r based motor is hard to beat. Years ago a buddy of mine put and rd 350 motor in a lt250. It was pretty cool even though it was a collection of junk stuck in one place.
