Just thought I would throw this out here. I just got new RAZR's for my birthday and found a pretty good trick for getting the bead to seat on the rim.

Once the tire was on the rim I took some rubber cement, the stuff that comes in a bottle w/ a brush. I took a 6" acid brush, the one in the bottle is to short, and just went around the bead with it. Putting extra where there were huge gaps. Did this on both sides. Turned on the air and in no time the tire was on. REally works slick. any extra glue can just be rubbed off and
your ready to go.

My buddy got a set of Holeshots, and we can't get the bead to seat. We've tried 45 pounds of air, but never hear the "POP".
As soon as he hits anything on the trail, the tire just starts floundering around the rim.

Whats the trick? I've set a lot of beads by just pumping up the tire?

put tranny fluid on the beads and if that doesn't work you can put a ratchet strap around the tire so it concentrates the pressure more towards the bead

We tried the ratchet, it was like a lesbian, it didn't do dick.

We didn't try any lube. I never thought of it. I never had to use it before, but I've always had trouble with Holeshots.

I tried several tricks including the ratchet strap for about a 1/2 a day. Nothing had worked or even came close. I tried the rubber cememt and in about 2 minutes I was done.

So do whatever works.

Take them to a tire shop. It is fast and easy and not to mention cheap. Most places charge 5 to 10 bucks....

I've always used wd-40. Just spray it around the bead pump it with about 35 to 40 lbs of air and just let it set it will pop eventually;) . if it doesn't you can always hit the tire with a hammer at the spot where it needs to set.

Whoa. I paid $25 for all 4 to be put on.

Also, if you have your bead seated but it's leaking air around it, try to run a bead of shop grease around the tire/rim.
