specifics on 300ex tie rod installation

Just wondering if when i install new tie rods on my 300ex do i just put them on and screw them in until the front wheels seem to line up straight or is there a special method for installation?? Any info would be great thanks.

Thats all I ever do, just take a measurement at a point on the front of the wheel and one on the back of the wheel and once they are the same your toe is set. Just make sure you have your handlebars straight or cocked or however you like them when you do this because your wheels can point straight if you set your toe with you handlebars turned. You'll see what I mean once you do it.
