2001 400ex chain sprocket hub is bad can this be replaced or have to buy axle and hub as one i know it is not listed in parts seen little info on this

it can be replaced. it is pressed on so it will need to be pressed off...don't forget to remove the retaining clip.

i have never seen a stock sprocket hub for sale by it's self and for the price of an aftermarket one you would be better off buying a stock axle with one on it.

i had the same problem.

i have a durablue sprocket hub i could sell make me an offer. i also have an east coast axle lock nut for sale too. lmk

Durablue sprocket hub won't work on a stock axle, the splines are different.
