Another 450r carb ?

Would a 04' trx450r carb be to big for my set up....the 04' are 42mm....think later yrs. they dropped to 39mm...? An would it help over stock.

Running 406, 11:1, port an 3 angle valve job, Web Cam, WB slip on, open airbox. The stock carb has the choke removed and running 180 main.....thanks for any input.

I cant answer your question, but i do have a 04-05 450r carb with the aluminum adapter made by zrpilot and a new throttle cable for a 450r ill sell. If your interested let me know

i think with your setup an r carb would help out quite a bit.. some guys like them and some hate them, but i'm a fan.. i would go for it, especially if you found a deal on one

Friend has a similar setup and the R carb works fine.

I'm running a similar setup on my 400 and the 450 carb. made a huge difference. Deff. pick one up if you can get one for cheap somewhere.
