I have a completely done up 400ex with an 03 crf450 in it. I also purchased an 05 trx450 frame, I was wondering some opinions as to wether or not to move some mounts around and put the crf in the trx450 frame...

In my opinion there wouldnt be any gain in that. Now if you put that Crf in a 250r frame then ya got a nice quad that handles

how do you ride?? the trx450 frame is a lot stronger than the 400ex and 250r oem frames especially with a motor that powerful ....I dunno what all your looking to switch over but your current a arms wont work on the 450r frame

There is a FLP 250R CRF450 hybrid frame for sale on this site for $450. It uses the stock 250r linkage, all you would need is a swingarm fabricated for the crf450 engine.

That FLP frame would be stronger than any oem frame.

I don't think the 400ex and 250r arms are a direct swap ether. It's close but I'm pretty sure the arms are wider at the chassis mounts and not 100% sure if the shock mount is in the same spot.
