08 plastic conversion

hey guys i wanna get rid ov my 08s plastics and put racing plastics on for a classic look
i wanna keep my seat though do you guys think its possible and if so what all would i have to modify

So you're just wanting race cut '08 style plastics? Maier should sell them for the '08 style that keeps your stock seat. Surely other companies make similar plastics.

no i want to take like 04 race cut plastics and put them on my bike

i will if i do but i need to know first if it can be done with some drilling and simple mods

So you want '04 aftermarket race cut fenders? I'd deff. go with lakers, or fullbore. Fullbore is alittle weird looking for my taste though. I'm not sure if they would bolt up easily though. You may have to make a few brackets. I don't think you'll get away with drilling and tapping a couple new holes. I'd think they would make them to fit an '08 though, it's not like they change the style for every year. They are all the same.

ive never found race plastics for the 08 only up to 07

I think in order to put 04 style fenders on you have to use the old stlye tank and seat
