Hey Everyone

I'm thinking about getting a kfx450 from my friend some of the mods include Pep shocks, Walsh long travel a-arms, Dasa exhaust, Aftermarket axle and houser steering stem

I just wanted to get your guys opinion if its a good quad for mx or not like how well does it hold up and that sort of thing and tell me what you think if you have had any and what your experience was like

Thanks

I have one and I think its a great mx quad. Its more expensive to race because of the fuel injection though. I also race a yfz450r and like it, but the kfx has better power I think.

Its a great mx quad once setup properly and the one you want sounds like it has some great parts to start with. They are more expensive to build than a yfz or a trx because there just isnt that many kfx's out there compared to hondas and yamis. Keep up on the maintance and you will have a great quad.

If all your gonna do is mx then look into getting the harness race stripped and put di-electric grease in all wiring connections. That will eliminate the common electrical problems.

Has alot of great parts. The oil cooler is a big plus. I would say in the 4-5k range would be a good price.

I'm not a fan of the kawi's, but that is a sick quad!

It takes a lot more work to get them on par with the others but when you do they are pretty nice. My friend had one of Keith Little's factory Kawies and it was super nice. I've always heard they don't make a lot of power but they found a way to pull a lot out of that one.
