Im building a drag cut brushed metal frame out of a 400ex chassis, I picked up a complete set of a arms and a frame and subframe for under $300 with a legit bill of sale from a parts dealer here in Florida. I found them on ebay then actually drove to their store on the west coast for a better deal.

I also have a brushed out 400ex motor to match it, but Im going to use this chassis for my hybrid and start another completely brushed bare metal 400ex drag quad with my original 400ex.

Here is some frame pics.

Looks quite nice. Im a really big fan of the brushed look b/c its alot less work then a fully polished setup.

Cant wait to see the final result.

Some after clearcoat pics, going for a aggressive, used, handmade look. I left dteail in small corners to try to outline the little details in the welds, I think once everything is together this will top off the build just right.

Looks good. Would have stood out a little more if you would have mixed a touch of color to the clear, to give it a translucent look.. In for the final product.

Heres a lil bit of progress, got it almost ready to ride again, a few more days of work and it will be a beast again.

Still not sure if I wanna use this swingarm, its really heavy compared to the 450r swingarm i just bought. I might sell it and get a +4 lightend drag swingarm for it or use the 450r swingarm with a wheelie bar.
