I just tried out my shock after being revalved and a new spring put on. I was told from the service guy that it was "pretty close" to 400ex set up specs.
I put it on and with the 450r front shocks it seemed "pretty close" I bottomed it out trail riding on a ditch. Ok so I need more pre load. I noticed only 4 1/2" of shaft from the bottom of the shock to the bumper. Is this normal? seems like not much travel?
If I add more pre load I will raise the rear of the bike up to where I dont think I can get the 450r shocks to come up high enough? Anyone know of the 450r front shocks are shorter than stock 400ex shocks?
set up specs say to have the rear footpegs a bit lower than the front frame.
