how hard is it to learn to ride a 2-stroke bike after learning on a 4-stroke bike. I have been looking into getting a 250r and i dont know how hard it will be to go from a 250x to a 250r. Thanks.

takes a few hours to get used to, bring an extra plug and a plug wrentch, youl foul a few, but once you figure out whats what, youl love it

its not hard at all i was thinking the same thing you where when i switched is it going to be hard will i foul alot of plugs

i was on a four stroke since i was about 6 years old and when i was 15 i got my banshee and was scared about fouling plugs but i have never fouled a plug yet and its been 2 years its not hard just you have to remember that 2 stokes dont have the bottom end of a 4 stroke so you'll be doing more shifting

not too bad unless you get a lemon....

but after everythings been taken care of... not much more than a 4 stroke. just watching jettting a little more closely... gas mixing.. which you get used to after liek the 2nd time.

i went from a stock 02 300ex to an R, and at first its kinda weird.. then its exhilarating and you get hooked fast...
after riding a 2 stroek if you hop back on a 4 you allmost forget they dont have a powerband really

i have been riding my whole life and im 16 i had a 4 stroke intill 4 months ago when i got my 250r. i new it was the quad for me. before i had a 400ex and i love my 250r so much more. right when i rode it i had no problems except when i first got it there was a twist throtil on it and i riped a wheelie and almosed fliped. there is more mataining a 250r then a 400ex or a 250x but you will like it a lot better if the 250r is in good shape.
