The grab bar is broken off the bike I picked up for the kids.. Has anyone put a grab bar on from another quad? Welding tabs onto the frame to bolt to wont be an issue. Thinking this would be easier and more effective then replacing the frame. *If I can find something that would fit..

I've seen it done on 400ex subframes with 250r or 450r grab bars but have no idea where to start looking for one to replace the on on the 80z

I've seen brackets made for different grab bars and bumpers so it should be fine.

I'm looking to see if any one has found a grab bar that's the same mounting width as the 80 frame...

Like I said, the brackets aren't the issue.

I would use a piece of black gas pipe (maybe 1" or 1 1/4") cut to the width you like at the rear of the bike. If you want to get fancy, fashion plugs to cap the ends of the tube, so it looks finished. The use two pieces of flat stock (1 1/2 wide by 3/16" thick) to extend the sub frame where the oem grab bar used to be. Weld it up and you're done forever!

That's sounds like a great idea but I'm really after an aluminum aftermarket grab bar. Thanks tho.

Probably be best to find a grab bar that you like then just fab up some brackets and be done:D
