the old suzkuis were fast bikes but my yammi was tough as roacks man........ here in ohio/indiana they had a vintage class and i raced that some......(talk about arm pump:confused2 ) but my bike was a 1972 yamaha dt125 enduro/xc edition lol i miss i sold it this summer to buy a xr250r and that was a mistake i didnt want to go 400 yet so i took a step in the wrong dirtction......... but when a old bike was tuned in right.........those things smelled so sweet..........:( i miss it so much:ermm:

If you wanna see old bikes in action go rent "On any Sunday". Great vintage MX, flattrack, enduro, hillclimb bike movie. It's pretty funny too, kind of like a Warren Miller movie about bikes. The show it once in a while on Speedvision too.

My brother had a 1980 DS 185 sitting in my basement for seven years. It had maybe 10 hrs ride time on it.

Anyways, it sat there for seven years without even being looked at. I decided to get some gas, and see if it would fire up. I put some fresh go juice in it, and lo and behold, on the third kick, it came to life.

I got it out of the basement, pumped the tires up, and rode it around the neighborhood for a bit. Unfortunately for the neighbors, it was 3 AM, and I decided to call it quits after about ten minutes.

I still find it funny that it sat so long, and fired right up. He took it home, and it's been sitting at his house for about five years. He found the receipt for it, and he paid about $850 for it. I offered him $500 for it, and he said if I came and got it, I could have it free. It still looks new.

It would be a nice bike to set in a dealership, just for a look at me piece.
