Hey guys, i have a 1994 polaris 250 trailblazer thats been given to me by some family. I know its a polaris, and a polaris is a polaris and yadda yadda yadda, but it was free and im hopin to put a little cash in it and probable sell it and make a little profit. This is my first major rebuild on a quad, but ill be 14 tommorow and its high time i learn. The engine and tranny are seperate which means rebuild shouldnt be hard. The piston skirt broke off and shattered. Ive taken the cylinder to a trusted engine builder, and he says 40 thousandths will clean it up nicely. I guess im really just looking for some advice on what to check, replace, etc. Piston and rings is 45 or 50. Then i know i need crank bearings and a gasket kit. I think the crank is okay, but i should be tearing into the bottom end here shortly. Like i said before, im only 14 so im a newbie to rebuilds and money is hard to come by. But ifigure why pay someone else to dosomethin i can do my self right? Any advice is appreciated guys. Thanks

I mean, iknow its hard to fit in here because it isnt a 250r or a ex, but just a reply would be nice haha.. anyways. Ordered 40 over piston earlier. Supposed to be here first of the week. Decided to get it runnin and just keep it for a spare until i get back to a 450 like i want.. found performance pipes for this thing, but at 350 dollars, i dont think theyre nessacary. Anyways.. a reply would be nice.. i feel like im talkin to myself. Any easy power or upgade suggestions? Anyone?

You couldnt have payed me to use anything but a wiseco in a bike id be racing, but since this bike will only get to open up when dad gets a wild hair and wants to ride with it, id say the cheapo piston will hold up. Ima givevit a shot anyways
