What's the pros and cons of running either tire for XC racing. Both sets are Razor 2s.

Less side wall roll with the 21's. I tried a set once of 21's and it just didn't feel right. Felt like pizza cutters lol and look at gbc x-rex... alot less and exactly the same tire

Well I already have the 22s, and just picked up a set of 21" fronts for cheap. Which would you run in the rear, razors or razor 2s? I'm running razor 2s now but also have a set of razors to swap on.

I've only ran razor 2's and just bought a set of x-rex for the 450. On both quads I have 22 front an 20 rears.

Preferred setup is:
21" Razr 2 fronts
20" Razr rears grooved

22"s up front will work also but w more roll

Run Tireballs or Barbie balls w X Rex. They are junk. That being said I still run them on a couple of my bikes due to cost.

Maxxis aren't what they once were either these days.

Man rocking...I didn't wanna hear that lol I just bought these from hearsay on the org an what not from people saying their the same quality. When I put them sidexside the look exactly the same.

Gbc's have an identical tread pattern to Maxxis. When inflated they ARE slightly smaller. The problem lies in the sidewalls. Hefty bags are probably thicker. GBC is supposed to be improving this design and have it out to the public soon.

Keep in mind the Maxxis you see on pro row are not the same compound offered at your local shop.

I remember Razr's being nice until they get a little time on them, then they spin and slide too much for me. I like the Holeshot XCR rears, they seem to grab well for a while.

I used to run Razr2 22" fronts and XCR rears and thought that worked pretty well. Also liked Kenda Klaw 21" fronts, except I bottomed out a little to much.

itp hleshot gncc tires are great, tires are thick from bead to bead and hold up great and traction is always there. i will stick to these tires from now on.

Most of the GNCC guys groove the razr rears when the edge has been taken off. They hook up almost too well then lol.
