Crf hybrid top speed?

So ive been reading some posts from other crf hybrid owners, and some say they run out of gear quick, well mine with a 13/38 and a free app on my iphone that i have checked with multiple cars for accuracy, tops out at about 80-82mph with 18" rears, is this normal?

that seams high, mine runs out of gear really quick. My trx250r w/ 14/38 gearing outruns it on top end easily. Both have 18" rear tires also.

Thats what i was thinkin, but what could of been done to it to acheive this?

I ran mine next to my brothers car and it topped out at 85-86, I'm running 13/38 and 18" rears

^ yours is a crf450r stock transmission? That probably about as fast i could get mine to if i had a longer straight away i think.

Yes it has a stock trans, freshly rebuilt motor..
I plan on bringing it by my buddies shop to dyno it an see what she makes with the mods I've done

Let me know how that goes, iam gonna to the dyno after i tear the motor and inspect it all first.
