440 w/advanced key & rev box???

I own a IMS440 and I installed the key and the power dropped. I haven't re jetted it yet ( the temp changed about 45 degrees) I also read that the key in a 440 isn't good. Is this true?? Should I take it out?

As I understand it, the key only works well on a stock motor. A built motor does not react well to it, as it seems you have noticed.

Thanks, I am gonna take it out soon. I misplaced the flywheel puller and the stock key. It is somewhere between 7 garages. This is gonna suck!

On my advanced timing key thingy from Curtis Sparks.... it says not to use it with a 440 (on the instructions...)

I have it on my 440 it made a difference -my buddy has it on his stock bore with an 11.1 it made alot a difference .the first time he installed it backwards it ran like crap- lrd told use to use it on either motor would be ok
