I have done the pitbikes and have migrated to the mini quads for recreational use. Its something a little different and very entertaining. I am having two problems. I would like to get some more power out of the 90cc engine and I would like to add a clutch to it as well. I have been reading different postings and searching sites and have come up with a few different options. I have found on CHP's website that i can get the clutch kit for about $600 and I can purchase a 114cc Trail Bikes setup for about $500. $1100 seems like a pretty steep investment to get these options. My question would be, are there different options to get what I am looking for? I have read some about a crf150 engine swap, requires some cutting and some welding but gives me what i am looking for. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks for the responses. I actually went with the trail bike 114cc kit. It came with everything, infact here is the link:

http://www.hondaatc70.com/Pages/Enginesandperformance.aspx

It is the 114 FULL KIT, little more than half way down the page.

I am very happy with the upgrade. cost was about right. the only thing i had sacraficed was the clutch and that isnt out of the question yet.

The quad has plenty of torque now!

Get a set of HD clutch springs and she'll never slip again

I have not had any slipping as of yet, I was interested in doing the coversion over to a manual tranny. The only kit i have found that would do this is the Kitaco kit but it is kinda pricy. To be honest, i have only done a quick google search!

Manual clutch wont work with stock crank. There is alot of cheaper ways to covert other than Kitaco stuff, hit me up if you get serious about it. Ive got tons of stuff still. Cranks, manual clutch covers, etc...
