Intake tube trouble

Hey guys i have my stock intake tube with zrpilots adapter for the 450r carb the intake tube goes on the top of the adapter fine but the bottom half way it looks likes it's barely on I tried putting a Lil dab of oil inside the tube to slip it on to the bottom more sealed on to it but that doesn't work either

I believe i grinded the little lip off of the intake tube. And when i tried to get it over the adapter i used a pick to help get it started. Def a pita but it does get on there straight. I used a regular hose clamp as well.

It doesnt look like it, but its sealed on there. Mine and my friends is the same way.
