Seeing if I could get some insight from you guys. Ran an XC race over the weekend. I was going through a creek when the bike just cut out on me. It hasnt fired since then. My old man is saying it was prob water that shorted something out, but I am crazy careful using dilelectric grease on all connectors. I usually even electrical tape over the connectors but I didn't have it done at the moment.

I guess what I'm wondering is, say water did get in somewhere in my electricals. What kind of problems does that cause? Fried harness? cdi? condenser? Can I just let it sit a few days and try firing it?

stator, cdi, coil, plug boot. make sure they are clean and dry. also make sure you have a good ground path.
