new to the quads but mine has an issue

hey to the crowd....
i just got myself a honda 300ex and i love it.my issue is that when i give it full throttle it seems to feel sluggish. why???
also,when i took it to the track it kept on shutitng off

What do you mean when you say it feels sluggish? I got on my 300EX after riding my 400EX all year and found myself looking for an extra gear while in 5th. What I'm trying to say is that the 300 is not very powerfull so don't expect arm pullling power when accelerating in 5th.

When does your 300 turn off? While idling or while you ride?
