Teach me, I don';t know pros or cons for this and I want to get a p&p so I figured this would compliment that.

+1 valves...

Lets more air in...

Lets more exhaust out.

Simple as that.

If you are doing a port and polish... Then yeah. May as well get them.

Bigger valves is the best mod out there.

It compliments all other motor mods.

Best used with P&P, stage 2 cam and bigger carb.

And what needs to be done to the head to accomodate the bigger valves?

You need a "valve job" they cut and re-angle where the valve's rest when they are fully closed.

Its best to do the port and valve's at the same time so they cut and port match everything if needed.

Possibly need valve guide's also.

Call the builder who you plan on doing the work and they can guide you on what will be needed.

Honestly, and no offence to Toby @ MXP but I wouldn't go there.. Nothing really against them, but there has been more bad then good come out of most of their motors it seems like..

Advanced Machining, and CT Racing for the win.

GT Thunder builds a mean 400ex engine. And knows how to make them stay together.

I like GTT but I don't know if I trust them. I pretty much had to beg them to ship out my a-arms..

They are a little slower, esp if you order between January - March because that is their busiest time of year...

But GTT knows what they are doing.

Any reputable engine builder can regrind the valve seats for over size valves. When it comes to the tricks they use for the actual port work, what they do, then a good atv/bike builder would be the place to go.
