base gasket ?

So I did a rebuild I had wiseco gaskets and I stripped a bolt off anyway I had to disasemble and buy new gasket I bought cometic, and they send me a metal/ tin base gasket instead of the usaull paper gasket, I thought it was odd but put it together tourqued to spec and well not it seeps oil around it, what should I do

Sure you got all of the old gasket off? Just fixed a friends and he had the old and new gaskets on so it leaked like crazy.

If it still leaks and a new gasket (paper or whatever type) doesnt work, use some rtv instead. The copper kind.

Yah 100% sure I got all the old gasket off, buy I like that the paper gasket seem to actully seal better but its a fresh 426 wig less than 20 hours so I rly don't wanna tear it apart
