I'm making a custom exhaust and well steels hard to bend so I thought could I use a silicon adaptor like on a 2smoke, I would be using it were the silencer meets the head the adaptor is good up to 400F, how hot does that part of the pipe get, any info would be great,

2 stroke exhausts have an expansion chamber which lets the gasses expand and cool down a lot. A four stroke pretty much stays the same temp right into the muffler. Many times hot enough to glow red. So 800 to 1000 degrees is what your looking at peak.

Silicon is not going to cut it. You will need to get a stainless mesh style coupler. If you can find one in the proper size
