I know there is a post floating around somewhere but I like to do a thread every season to see what people have harvested. Put up your pics of deer you have taken this year. Always love seeing them!

Here is the nine point I harvested last night. Had a 19.5 inch outside spread. Shot him with a Mathews Monster with T1 truefire broadheads at 54 yards. Went 20 yards and crashed

thanks man! he will taste good LOL im hoping to get one more doe this fall before it really gets cold. i want to stock the freezer up a bit more before we move to a new place. im sure the hunting wont be as easy where we are going haha

i just got mine this fall from a guy at work that used it as his spare. he only had about 100 shots through it to sight it in and left it pretty much.

he has a drenaline that he usually shoots, i like the monster better than that one. I also like it better than the z7 magnum my buddy has. his doesnt seem to shoot as fast or as quiet as mine does and is heavier.

Id like to check out a helium or something but they want some major coin for that. i bought my bow decked out for 675 so i cant really complain about the price for basically a brand new bow with all the best stuff on it for sights and rests.

Yeah thats a pretty good deal you got there. I paid 750 for the bare bow and had about a total of 1300 in it after I was finished lol

My monster is the first model they came out with lol bought it I believe in 2008 and love it. I shoot great with the bow. Think I am going to be upgrading here real soon. Mathews just came out with their 2013 line and they look pretty sweet :blah:

Oh, I have nothing against other bow companies. I always say to shoot what you feel most comfortable with, and with me its a Mathews. Always loved their feel, dont think I could break away. Their newest bows are pretty sweet too ;)

have you ever tried anything esle? not trying to pick a fight or argue

i do like the looks of the chill. it may be a little to short for my liking since i dont particularly care for bows under 34" ata, but that black riser/limbs/cams wiht teh blue accent pieces is sexy looking....and from what people are saying, its defintiely the best of their new models this year....but other than that....its just the same stuff, **** out with a different name...

hoyt did the same thing to. same thing, different look......i would like to try their new pro comp elite though....but when you buy a new bow every year...forking out $1200 for a new one gets a little expensive

Nope I understand completely where you are coming from. I do make it a point to try out all the new bows before I buy one. Just always seem to come back to the feel of the Mathews. I do also like the feel of PSE bows, they just havent quite beaten the Mathews for me though. When I get my next bow trust me, I will be trying them all out before I drop that kind of money

Rifle season starts Saturday and goes till the following Sunday. We can bow hunt in-between though of we wear orange. I think I'm going to hunt a bit next week and see if I can get another one.

Anyone else planning on some later season hunting?

all done hunting for the year i think :( gun season is still going on and i can hunt till the beginning of january with a bow but i dont plan to go out in the snow again.

im glad i got one early again this year, it is nice when the pressure is off early.

I only saw 1 deer in my stand this year, the one i killed. :( was hoping to see the doe that has been around but with multiple people hunting out of the stand i hunt, the pressure has been high on them for the past week while gun season is on.

i bailed out a bit early today to come in from the snow and cold, after i decided it was my last day out unless it gets nice again this weekend or next week. I may go out one more time just to sit for the last time. I wont be hunting that spot any more after this season since we are moving. :( might be nice to reminisce one more time. I was irritated today when i came in, after my ignorant grandpa had to ride though and feed the deer all over the place an hour before dark...

hope everyone had a good season, im glad i got a new bow and got to spend some time out in the woods. next year, new spot, on public lands... gonna be a major change of hunting compared to sitting where i do now.
