I wanna try to increase my 93 octane in my 440 in my bike by a few points so I went to autozone and bought turbo 108 racing fuel in a bottle it's saying it increases octane by 7 points and u add a ounce per gallon. Is this safe its said it's safe for offroad and high performance motors and 4 strokes just wanted to try it out don't feel like buying vp110 but 93 is good but 11:1 compression is too close to borderline.

Octane boosters are worthless.

Buy better fuel and mix it with 93 if you are worried about it.

The only one that I know for a Fact that works is TORCO, MACH series ACCELERATOR Race Fuel CONCENTRATION.

Hot Rodders I know use it. They say its the only one out there worth anything. I had old gas in the 11:1 406 an it started pinging, put a little in, drained the carb....an it purred like a kitten.

All octane boosters are worthless. Buy better gas but with 11:1 piston and no timing advance I would check your jhetting if you think you need better fuel.

X2, TORCO is the only legit octane booster I have heard of that works.

Raising the octane by 7 points actually means by 0.7. So your 93 octane plus the booster would be 93.7 octane.

TORCO 32oz. to 20 gallons of 93 Octane = 97 Octane
32oz. to 10 gallons of 93 Octane = 104
32oz. to 5 gallons of 93 Octane = 107

GOOD STUFF.

I haven't priced these octane boosters but aren't they more expensive than just buying better fuel?

We just got a new local gas station and they have VP in the pump, so you can just run down and buy a gallon if you want.

I'm not sure what the cost difference is, but many of us can not get better fuel...so an octane booster is a viable alternative.

Not all of them are created equal, but many of them do work very well and can easily get you well over 100 octane

Just get y'all the 5 gallon vp race jug off of eBay for 42 dollars and mix the 32 ounce Torco can with 32 ounce and it will be 107 octane it's actually cheaper than vp cause where I live it's 6 dollars a gallon vs the Torco which is 22 dollars

Most places that sell parts for dirt track racing sell leaded 110 racing fuel. That's where I get mine. Its 7.00 dollars a gallon. I buy 3 gallons of 110 and 2 gallons of 93 unleaded with no ethanol. I'm thinking it should be around 102 to 104 octane doing it that way.

Im not even sure why this thread exists. You dont need anything higher than 93 octane in a 440 unless you dont jet it right. Err towards being rich at a 180-190 main or better and your fine.
