what oil weight does everybody use?

I going to change my oil this weekend and thinking of changing weights. I use 10-40 and thinking about going to 20-50 for summer. What does everybody use?

I was thinking of going to 20/50 this summer too.

I use Valvoline 10W40 if it is real cold out. The rest of the time I use Valvoline SAE50. I just make sure it is warmed up good before I open up the throttle.

Hond service manual recomends only using 20w-50 at temps over 40 degrees. I run 10w-40 when its cold out and 20w-50 over 40 degrees.(GN4 Honda oil):cool:

Oil is a much debated topic on here. Here is a good thread on it. Convinced me to run the Mobil 1. I actually just switched this weekend and I could definately tell a difference in how smooth the engine sounded...

I might try that oil out tomorrow and this weekened up in Glamis..

But one question if anybody can answer it. I just changed my freaking oil earlier in this afternoon plus the filter, And I want to try this new oil. Now do I have to swicth out my filter in order to do this??

I don't want to waste a new filter just to try but I think Glamis would be a wesome place to try to out.

ive used mobil 1 for the past year, and have noticed much smoother engine operation and cooler running temperatures, also when i change it every other month, the honda oil would be clack and like water, the mobil oil, was well..still oil and was just a darker brown color, and the only thing on my motor that has gone bad is my counter shaft which was somehow stripped during a race down my street against a snowmobile

in other words, use the dam mobil1 you will be much happier and so will your engine
