Big NurfBar issues

So I use to have an 87 with a newer set of ac propegs. They were in great condition and figured they would be fine for my new build. Long story short, I got an 88 frame bought the new Propeg mounts and the nurfs are absolutly not even close to mounting up properly .. I'm afraid I have to cut off the stock peg mounts and weld on Propeg mounts .
Any insight ? Hopefully someone undèratands this lol o

I'd go get me a set of nerf bars for an '88 if I were you.

When I bought my r it had yzf fat pegs with pro armour revolution nerf bars and love them but has decreased the value because the frame isn't stock

The 88 89 peg mounts are totally different.Hopefully someone can give you some insight to this.I am thinking that they will work if you had the right mount, at the pegs.

I bought a set of 88/89 mounts and the nurf bars are absolutly not even close to fiting. Also it makes the footpegs sit so much farther from the frame, kindda hard to explain.. As to where the 87 frame the peg mounts almost flush to the frame. If that makes any sence at all.

Think I'm gunna dice the stock peg mounts off and weld in permanent Propeg mounts ?? I just dono what else to do

we need pics man! as far as i know the only difference between 86 and 88 nerfs are the mounts at the foot peg area.

Exactly, and the 88/89 have a stub witch the propeg mount attaches too. Where the 87 Propeg mount bolts directly to the frame. There's more than an inch difference and no way it's gunna mount up like this ..

Take some pics please, the difference is where they slide on the tube that mounts to the stock peg mounts. You will have to cut like an 1 1/2" off if i remember correctly, because the 86-87 propeg Nerfs are the ones you can buy and cut the front tubes off and they will fit aftermarket propeged frames. I have made them for the 88-89 but off top of my head i can't remember without pics to help you out.

Problem solved. Cut the d@mn peg mounts clean off.. Ran a 26 inch three quarter pipe clean thru the frame. About to do the welding tomorrow :)

Pipe fits so snug, like it was ment to be there.
Anyone need ither 86/87 or 88/89 ProPeg mounts. Ill let them go cheap.
