well as some of you may know, Wisconsin now requires all registered quads to have license plates on them. Being that there is basically nowhere to mount them on sport quads, I made my own. My company has a $4 million dollar laser machine, so I figured I'd take advantage of it.

Nothing that will excite you, but here it is just ziptied on. Still need to drill and bolt... and make the actual plate. It's made out of 11 gauge 304SS.

I would tell them to take that license plate and shove it up their as*... that is the dumbest thing in the world.

A simple sticker does the trick..

Why a big as* license plate?

Your bracket looks awesome, I just hate that we can't even have quads without plates now..

That looks really good, but I have to agree with Cody. The only way I'd ever put a plate on my 400 or 450 is if they allowed it on the roads, and that will never happen. I don't even run the damn sticker that you're supposed to because I never see cops, and if I do they don't give a rats *** if I have that stupid sticker, they'll just ticket me for going over 5 mph on a 5 mile long straight as an arrow gravel road that's in BFE.

Hey, actually, now that I get to thinking about it, is that machine somethin you could use again?

Because if I cut out some plexiglass or whatever it is called, the have Spider Graphix make me a number plate, I would be interested in having you make me one of those.. Now that I look at it a little more, that would make a sweet as* number plate. I like the custom engraving by the way!

Looks nice.. I would have made it so it bolts to the top of the swing arm :D

they wouldnt give me full coverage on my truck because aat the time it had rust on the hood/ top of cab. The desk ladies claimed it wasn't rust and that it had caught on fire

thanks all, of course it's not something i "like" having to use, but it is required when we're on the trails up there. when i'm anywhere else it won't be on. yes, i always have access to the laser, but i'm going to be absolutely swamped in the upcoming months and i can't really use it for other people. mounting it on the swingarm would be cool, but it wouldn't allow clearance under rear suspension compression.

how much horsepower do you think it adds ?

I wouldn't mind having one of those. I live in Arizona and we have to have plates too. I welded some sheet metal to make a mount. Nothing too special, plus you cant even see it when the plate is on. Bright side is, we can ride on the streets here...

Have you checked that it doesn't hit the swing arm at full compression?

I have a license plate riveted to the back of my nerf bars. it can't be seen clearly from a distance, but it's there.

yep, the paths of travel never really intersect because the tail light brackets are much farther back than the farthest point of the swingarm.
