400X plastic on a 2001 400EX??

I tried looking around the forum for a similar thread and did not find one. Sorry if this has been asked before.

So, will it work?

I'm looking at a 2001 400ex gently used. The plastics are fine, I'd just like an upgraded look.

It can be made to fit if I recall, need to fab up some brackets and probably use the gas tank off of the 08.

I know the 05-07 plastic will fit with some minor brackets.

Yea the gas tank is completely different.

But if you can make 450R plastic fit on a 400ex... You can make newer 400ex plastic fit.

I know you would need the plastics, seat, tank and brackets. I don't know what else is different, but all that is.

Headlight assembly, and you could fabricate the connection stay behind that.
