What is the most powerful atv excluding cannondale?

well stock its a bombardier ds650 i think but some people put like street bike motors then that would be the fasttest one

i think a raptor with a few mods will eat a ds though

stock im thinkin a raptor would outrun a ds in a drag i dunno tho, the ds is soooooooo heavy

if the ds was say in a raptor frame ( because its more lite) it would be much faster.

a ds is a little faster than a banshee... so if im thinking right that is faster than a raptor.

yo they said for the quad to be liscnced by the spc or sumthin they had to keep it under 74 mph c-dale is right at the limit...now bombadier sells the sprocket set for the ds that makes it go the speed its supposed to and with the gearing right on it a k7n filter a ( ron woods sage one kit) and man i was a ridin it and thought omg this quad is so freakin fast..................but you wouldnt think it was a modded 650and man it beat the pants off the quads all day..............he was battling it out with this zilla though ......that was kool a ct540 zilla and a modded ds650... dang is all i can say............:eek2: i think chad would of got a run for the money there...................:scary:

Well it definately RIPS! But seems like most guys are talking about the fastest as in top speed and not "powerful" like the thread says. There is no doubt that my bike is VERY powerful, especially being that its built for torque and drag racing, but that doesnt necessarily mean I would win in a drag race that according to the length of the strip and the terrain. Like when I was at Little Sahara, after my head gasket blew out, I was racing a DS 650(i didnt know the problem was the head gasket at the time) but i still pulled him by about 3-4 bike lenghts off the line, but at about 350-400ft he flew past me,,,Ds's obviously have a higher top speed, especially being that mine is geared down,,but I thought it was pretty cool that I outran a DS 650, a Cannondale, and a Suzuki Z-440 with a blew out head gasket!!! But after few more runs the head gaket was just about blew completely to Smitherines, my bike wouldnt even pull 1st gear anymore without reving all the way up! Tom said he was surprised my bike would run at all!!

I know what you mean. My 440 will beat most 4 strokes in a drag at the dunes but if you get over 300-400ft the bigger bikes will reel me in, most the time the race is over by then. I also have mine geared low, its really nice for drag racing but in long runs I really wish I had a 6th gear.

When I am riding in the open i am always looking for 6th gear!! With my 20 inch trail tires its real bad, but with the 22inch Pro Wedges its not as bad!!
